WELCOME GOOD FRIENDS

Most people think of an Irish Setter with short legs when they see a standard longhair dachshund.  The long flowing hair is often the reason for many questions but then there's the size...oh my the size!  Dachshunds come in two sizes, miniature and Standard.  While there are a myriad of colors to be found in the miniature size, standards typically only come in red and black and tan with a pattern or two thrown in on occasion.

 

Standard Dachshunds should be thought of a big dogs with short legs.  They have the heart of a lion and suffer from brashness and stubbornness!  You have been warned!

This breed is loyal and loving and I cannot imagine my life without a standard Dachshund in it.
